The car’s premiere took place on September 9, 2019 in Maranello.
The Ferrari brand has not produced a front-engine Ferrari with a V12, dressed in a spider body, for 50 years – the last production (albeit 122 copies) convertible with this configuration was the 365 GTS4 model. It was in this context that the 812 GTS was presented – as a story about a comeback after a long break. Although in fact Ferrari released four open modifications with a V12 at the front in this period.
The 812 GTS received the same engine as the 812 Superfast – a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 with a camber angle of 65 degrees. This unit produces 800 hp. With. (8500 rpm) and 718 Nm of torque (7000 rpm), and the electronics allow you to spin the crankshaft up to 8900 rpm! The engine is paired with a seven-speed robot with two clutches. However, there are still some changes regarding the 812 Superfast engine: in order for the driver and passenger to get even more pleasure from the sound of the engine with the roof down, the exhaust manifolds (type 6-1) were made equal in length
