An application for registration is submitted to the DVLA on the day all tests and documents are received. The DVLA currently takes approximately seven days to process our applications. You give us the assigned number when you receive your registration document and we produce and fit the plates. Your vehicle will be ready for issue on the same day.
No. Your vehicle is covered by our full traders policy from the moment you take possession of it. If you appoint Specialized Shipping Services (UK) to legalize your vehicle, we will ask for insurance cover when you apply for the vehicle with the DVLA. Securing insurance before you apply for registration is a waste of your money!
Yes, it is possible, but you will need to make sure that the vehicle meets safety requirements and that it can be used on UK roads.
If you bought your car at an overseas auction, you will need to make sure you have all the necessary purchase and customs clearance documents
