Loading a car into a container is a simple, reliable and inexpensive way to transport a car. Container shipping is also used to transport small special-purpose equipment, motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, boats with and without a motor.
For loading passenger cars, 40-foot containers are used. This “package” allows you to transport 2-4 cars at once. Capacity depends on the weight and size of the car.

To understand how a car is loaded into a container, you need to understand the rules of safe transportation:
All technical fluids are drained from the car and the battery is disconnected. Remove the wheels (place them in the trunk). The fasteners (bolts) are placed in the glove compartment and door pocket on the driver’s side. Soft mats or sealant are glued to the edge of the hood and to the roof. Remove antennas and spoilers (place inside the car). If the car moves independently, it enters the container under its own power. If the wheels have already been removed from the vehicle or the vehicle is in emergency condition, then it is loaded with a forklift equipped with extended forks.
To secure the car, wooden boards and high-strength beams are used. The design features of the container allow you to securely install wooden fasteners.
Cars that are installed in the upper part are additionally secured with winches with special lugs. The winch is attached to the hub of the machine and to the ceiling of the container. For insurance, four winches are used at once. One winch can support up to 1000 kg.
The lower machines are fixed with wooden blocks. Each block is secured to the floor with nails. The use of blocks prevents the movement of cargo inside the container.
Loading tall and large vehicles into a container is different. Such machines cannot be loaded according to the standard scheme. Therefore, an overpass with access for the upper car is installed above the lower car.
Once loaded, the cargo arrives at a port terminal where it is placed on a cargo ship. The cargo is then sent to its destination.
