BMW Z3
Inspired by ’50s sports cars, the Z3 combines retro styling with modern features. The soft top of the open body has a semi-automatic electro-hydraulic drive as standard and automatic on request. The aggressive nostrils of the false radiator grille, slanted headlights that distinguish the roadster from other models of the company, and side gills evoke associations with the appearance of a predatory shark, embodied in metal and glass.
The Z3 is in high demand, but the specificity of production is that the cars were assembled in America, then sent to Germany for testing and only after that they were put up for sale. The most affordable version of the Z3 involves the installation of a 1.8-liter engine with 116 hp. The car has a moderate temperament and is intended not so much for sporty driving as for quiet walks. The second 4-cylinder version of the Z3 (1.9 l, 140 hp) is a little more dynamic and faster. The 2.8-liter inline-six with nearly two hundred horsepower is what makes the Z3 a truly exhilarating sports car. Excellent acceleration dynamics, high maximum speed behind the wheel of a small, windswept roadster – all this is perceived a hundred times more sharply than, say, in a BMW sedan with the same engine and similar parameters.
