The engine, 100% protected by a Maserati patent, uses MTC technology (Maserati Twin Combustion), an innovative combustion system developed by Italian geniuses and based on the prechamber technology used in Formula 1 engines. It is a 90-degree V-twin 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine with a displacement of 3.0 l with dry sump (classic solution for supercars). Specific power is 210 hp/l. At the heart of this engine is the innovative twin-spark pre-combustion system, a technology developed for Formula 1 and now available for the first time in an engine designed to power a road car.
