Mazda 3

The 2014 Mazda3 is the first car to feature Active Driving Display technology, a pop-up panel that displays vehicle speed, navigation directions and other important information. The Active Driving Display automatically folds in when the ignition is switched off. It is possible to connect mobile devices, both wired and via Bluetooth. For true music lovers, high-quality Bose acoustics are offered as an option.

The seats have been redesigned to add comfort and space. For example, the front seatbacks have been designed to provide rear seat passengers with more legroom. In addition, the driver’s seat backrest has been optimized for drivers whose journeys take long periods of time, providing greater comfort. Depending on the configuration, the seats in the cabin can have either fabric (two types) upholstery in two shades, or leather.

The base pillars have been moved back 10 cm, providing a greater range of visibility for the driver and front passenger. Exterior mirrors are installed on the doors instead of pillars, expanding the scope of visibility.

Under the hood, the Japanese automaker offers a choice of four powertrains running on gasoline and diesel fuel. The European market is offered with a 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with 73 kW (99 hp) and a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering combined cycle consumption of 5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 118 g/ km. This engine is capable of accelerating the car to 182 km/h and will accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds. Next comes the 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G with 120 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds (with manual transmission). Maximum speed 195 km/h. Fuel consumption is 5.1 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km with a manual transmission or 5.6 l/100 km with 129 g/km CO2 when the engine is paired with an automatic gearbox. A more powerful version of the 2.0-liter petrol SKYACTIV-G with i-ELOOP technology already offers 165 hp. and 210 Nm of torque.
