The previous generation S-Class cars were chosen by more than 500 thousand buyers around the world. And the loyalty of Mercedes customers is high: 80% of those who bought an S-Class in Europe choose a car of the same brand as their next car, in the USA this figure is 70%. It is this status of the model, as well as the reputation of the most progressive Mercedes in the brand’s lineup, that is the reason for the maximum implementation of technologies related to the level of user experience, safety, dynamics and environmental friendliness of the S-Class W223.

Despite the pedestal of the brand’s flagship, the S-Class in appearance still inherited several features from other, earlier models. In particular, some notes from the “junior” E-Class can be read from the front (the design of the head optics and front bumper), the triangular rear optics are reminiscent of the CLS model. On the other hand, the overall appearance still turned out to be separate, and the dimensions of the S-Class will not allow it to be confused with other models of the brand.

Like the previous generation, the W223 is offered in two body lengths: the length of the standard version is 5179 mm (increased by 54 mm), the extended version is 5289 mm (by 34 mm). The wheelbase has also changed: 3106 mm and 3216 mm (plus 71 and 51 mm,  respectively). But it’s not just the dimensions that have changed; The aerodynamic drag indicator Cd has also been improved, which is now 0.22. This was facilitated not only by the shape of the body, but also by such details as door handles completely recessed into the body (however, they are optional equipment).
