Chevrolet Camaro

The Camaro ZL1 is powered by a supercharged V-8 engine that produces 650 hp. to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automatic transmission. Independent suspension and Brembo brakes turned it into a racing car.

Chevrolet claims that a car with the automatic transmission will accelerate to 60 mph from a standstill a tenth of a second faster than the six-speed manual—3.9 seconds rather than 4.0—and reach a top speed of 4 mph. at 184 mph. But the manual transmission is more comfortable to drive, and it adds launch control and a clever “shift-no-lift” feature that lets you hold the throttle during upshifts without letting the revs drop.
