Dodge Challenger

Dodge Challenger I was received very warmly by the public after the premiere. This is evidenced by the number of cars sold in 1970 – 76,935. The car was mainly sold in the markets of the USA and Canada. An exception was made for Switzerland and France. But despite its popularity, the coupe was criticized by the press, and therefore sales of the model fell. In 1974, production of the sports coupe was discontinued. In total, about 165,500 copies of the model were sold.

The revival of the legendary muscle car model took place in 2008. The car is produced in a single body modification – a two-door, four-seater coupe. It is based on the Chrysler LC platform (wheelbase 2950 mm), and the body length is more than five meters.

The vehicle lineup consists of four models including: Challenger SRT-8, Challenger SXT, Challenger SE and Challenger R/T. The Challenger R/T model was equipped with an eight-cylinder 5.7 liter Hemi combined with a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. For cars equipped with an automatic transmission, the engine produces 372 hp. and 540 Nm of torque. With a 6-speed manual transmission, the engine develops 376 hp. and 548 Nm of torque.
