Mazda CX-5

The Mazda CX-5 is sold in two versions – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, with a choice of two SkyActiv engines – a 2.0-liter petrol unit with 165 hp. and 210 Nm of torque and two varieties of 2.2-liter diesel engine with 150 hp. and 380 Nm or 175 hp. and 420 Nm. When developing these engines, the company paid increased attention to the environmental friendliness of the engines – a diesel engine emits only 120 g/km into the atmosphere. Mazda engineers paid great attention to the aerodynamics (Cd: 0.33) and weight of the CX-5, which has a beneficial effect on reducing fuel consumption.

The car is equipped with a start-stop system, which Mazda called i-stop. Its response speed is one of the best. There is cruise control, a blind spot monitoring system that starts working already at 30 km/h, a lane marking monitoring system (by the way, when changing lanes frequently, the so-called “checkers game”, the system accepts the driving style and stops flashing alarming pictures ), high beam control system, automatic braking system. The operation of the latter depends on the speed: up to 15 km/h it is able to completely stop the car in case of danger, up to 30 km/h it can reduce the consequences of a collision.
